Why do we do a Japanese Knotweed Survey?
We often deal with clients that are unsure whether a plant is Japanese Knotweed or not. We usually try to quickly assess this with this free photo identification however if you are still not sure, we are more than happy to visit your property and identify the plant in person.
We also have an identification page which will help you to identify Japanese Knotweed yourself at all times of the year.
We are members of the Property Care Association which is a trade body trusted by the Council of Mortgage Lenders. As members, our surveys and reports/recommendations are of the highest standard which will satisfy your lender and will be in line with the latest RICS guidance.
When carrying out our site survey, we will check neighbouring properties where possible and ascertain whether any invasive species are present near your boundary. Infestations always need to be treated as a whole so if there is any identified, it will all need to be treated at the same time. The common plants which are included within our site survey are Buddleia, Himalayan Balsam, Giant Hogweed, all species of Japanese Knotweed and ultimately any plant that is contained within Schedule 9 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
When surveying your property if we do find any trace of Japanese Knotweed in your garden, we will provide a quotation for the treatment plan. The price of the initial report would be deducted from the cost of the Japanese Knotweed Management Plan if the plan is taken out with ourselves.
We operate a no-pressure strategy of sales which of course, means you are always under no obligation.
The report you will receive will be jargon-free, easy to understand, with clear annotated photos and a site plan showing the location of the invasive species.
